The Union Square Partnership is committed to implementing programs that ensure the district's continued economic vitality. By creating informational materials and events, we actively promote our exceptional restaurants, off-Broadway theaters, retailers, universities and hospitals. Some of our key initiatives are listed below.

Façade Improvement Program
To improve our streetscape, USP offers property owners and retail tenants financial incentives to undertake property or storefront improvements. Projects include designing and installing new signs and awnings, repairing sidewalks, upgrading lighting and purchasing new roll-down security gates. Business Forums
USP brings together small business and property owners, merchants, real estate brokers and other professionals to network and exchange information about how to manage and grow local business. We also inform local businesses about programs provided by the City's Department of Small Business Services through NYC Business Solutions.

SBS serves as a single point of access for all questions that local businesses have when it comes to interacting with government. The agency can help businesses resolve issues with other city agencies, obtain permits and licensing, access financing and incentives, bid on government contracts, hire and train your workforce, and take advantage of the benefits of being in New York City. As a close partner of SBS, we deliver the valuable information and services that they provide directly to small businesses within our district.

Marketing

USP publishes neighborhood maps and directories that are distributed at local events and will soon be available on this website. During the spring and summer months, we roll an Information Kiosk out to Union Square Park, giving out coupons and informational pieces from local businesses. The Union Square Holiday Market also provides us with a unique opportunity to showcase our merchants to the public in winter.

To keep people informed about neighborhood programs, events and promotions, we offer a monthly Email Blast. Join our mailing list to stay on top of local happenings!

Information Kiosk
Located on the west side of Union Square Park at the Greenmarket during the summer, the kiosk is a clearinghouse for neighborhood information. Please contact us if you are interested in sponsoring the kiosk or having your information displayed.

Community Programs

USP produces numerous community events throughout the year. Harvest in the Square, our signature food and wine tasting event, showcases renowned local restaurants while raising money to support improvements in Union Square Park. Summer in the Square, our FREE weekly series, features over 30 musical, dance and children's performances on the park's center lawn. Shows are scheduled on Wednesdays, running from June through August.

Art in the Park, one of our newer initiatives, brings public art to the area on a rotating basis. For those interested in the area's historic and cultural highlights, USP sponsors a FREE Weekly Walking Tour.
