Summer Enrichment 2006

The USP's Summer Enrichment 2006 ("A Summer of Service") kicked off on July 5th at Washington Irving HS.  During this 6-week program, students will engage in community service and volunteer projects around the city, including: serving meals in soup kitchens; assisting homebound seniors; working with young children at Epiphany School; and planting & gardening at Thomas Jefferson Park.  In just the first week of SE '06, participants already completed 184 hours of service.  In addition to their service projects, students will be raising money for the following four organizations, which they self-selected: Doctors Without Borders, Heifer International, Save the Children, and World Wildlife Fund.   SE '06 will conclude with a Talent Show Fundraiser in August, so stay tuned for more information!  If you would like to support our students' fundraising efforts, please contact Marissa Lee at 212-358-0165 or leem@coned.com.
