About the Project

Join us as a volunteer to paint the 14th Street Busway Mural that will span the pedestrian areas of the 14th Street Busway from Union Square West to Broadway! For the past 3 years, this mural project has brought community members and artists together in the heart of Union Square to beautify one of the district’s most iconic public spaces. The mural draws inspiration from Union Square’s rich history, local context, and the diversity of its users, while celebrating the role of public space in creating shared experiences in our community. Union Square Partnership's 4th annual mural design, titled "Flowing Together," was design by Queens-based artist Talisa Almonte and represents Union Square as a center for social gathering, compassion, and constant movement.
