Strand Bookstore: Kino MacGregor

  • Strand Book Store 828 Broadway New York, NY, 10003 United States (map)

There are many things one can learn from yoga, some of which don’t even require a mat. Patience, positivity, relaxation, these are lessons to practice in all facets of life. The core principle of yoga is all about the journey of self-reflection, of spiritual awakening, and the path to a tranquil mind. But how does one start? Well, Kino MacGregor is here to guide the way!

Join us in the Rare Book Room as Kino explains the eternal benefits of yoga. She will show how to challenge not just physical limitations, but emotional and mental ones as well through practice and meditation.

Kino MacGregor is an international yoga teacher, author of three books, producer of six Ashtanga Yoga DVDs, writer, blogger, world traveler, co-founder of the Miami Life Center (www.miamilifecenter.com), Yoga Challenge (www.yogachallenge.com) and OmStars (omstars.com). Kino’s dharma is to help people experience the limitless potential of the human spirit through the inner tradition of yoga. She is one of the few people in the world of yoga to embrace both the traditional teaching of India’s historic past and the popular contemporary social media channels. With more than 15 years of experience in Ashtanga Yoga, she is one of a select group of people to receive the Certification to teach Ashtanga Yoga by its founder Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India and practice through the Fourth Series of Ashtanga Yoga
