The Union Square Greenmarket is the City’s first, largest and most famous Greenmarket. Organized by our partners at GrowNYC, a privately funded citizens’ organization in the Mayor’s Office, the market has grown exponentially since its opening in 1976. During peak season, you’ll find 140 regional farmers and producers all selling their fruits, vegetables and other farm products on the north and west plazas of the park.
