Rye Week at the Union Square Greenmarket

It’s Rye Week from October 15th-21st, and GrowNYC is celebrating New York Rye!

October 19th will be Rye Day at the Union Square Greenmarket. They’ll be honoring all things local rye - spirits, beer, and bread - in the north end of Union Square from 12 PM to 6 PM. Johanna Kindvall, author of Smorgasbord: The Art of Swedish Breads and Savory Treats, will also be at the market signing books and demonstrating how to cook with rye berries.

The Union Square Greenmarket will also host a number of Empire Rye producers on October 17th and October 20th.
