Neighborhood Assembly on Participatory Budgeting

  • NYU Dental 345 East 24th Street New York, NY, 10010 United States (map)

Participatory Budgeting (PB) is back in Council District 2! You can now submit your ideas for improving schools, parks, streets, and more by clicking here! Through Participatory Budgeting, community members like you can directly decide how to spend at least $1 million of Councilwoman Carlina Rivera's budget in District 2. When you click on the link above, you will be able to share your ideas on the map of District 2 where you would like a capital project to be done. Community members can propose and vote on projects like improvements to schools, parks, libraries, public housing, and other public or community spaces. After you submit your idea on this Idea Collection Map, your idea will be given to community volunteers called Budget Delegates. These Delegates will work with our office, city agencies, and residents to turn these ideas into real proposals for the ballot that will be voted on by the community next Spring.

If you want to tell us your ideas in person, you be able to catch around the district this month. Councilwoman Carlina Rivera will be hosting pop-up events, organizing neighborhood assemblies, and tabling at local community events, where you can submit your PB ideas, sign up to volunteer, or discuss the PB process with her staff.
