Public Space Futures

2020 has been a challenging year across the world. As New Yorkers, we continue to adapt to the changing conditions. Painful at times and joyous for the smallest wins, we continue to turn to our vital resource, our public space. This discussion will explore how the public domain (streets, sidewalks, parks, etc.) has assumed an even greater role as New York City's communal living room during the COVID-19 crisis. We have seen collaboration of community groups, government and the private sector come together to be creative with our street, sidewalks and parks. As we move forward, our panel will discuss what has been working, what needs attention, and how we envision the future of our Public Space.
