The Transportation & Environment Committee reviews applications relating to streets and sidewalks including bus shelters, taxi stands, parking changes, bus route changes and other items relating to transportation. Reviews and monitors environmental policies.

The Community Board staff, headed by the District Manager, assists the Board with its work and helps to resolve citizens' complaints regarding the delivery of municipal services.

Boards have an important advisory role in dealing with land use and zoning matters, the City budget, municipal service delivery and many other issues relating to the welfare of the community.  The Board works closely with city agencies, city, state, and federal elected officials, business organizations and civic and community groups.

The Community Board is a way for you to be involved in your local community government.  We encourage your participation and urge you to attend our meetings.
