USQ - 14th Street Community Forum

  • Xavier High School Keenan Commons 31 West 15th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

Please join the Union Square Partnership (USP) and our partner Marvel Architects on Monday, January 28th at Xavier High School's Keenan Commons at our second participatory community visioning and planning forum, to develop a collective vision for the future of our community.

Last year, USP launched a nine month collaborative Neighborhood Visioning + Planning process, engaging community members district-wide to gather ideas -- big and small -- on improvements that could be made to our district. Read highlight's from USP's first community forum here. Now, we are starting to narrow in on our priority areas of focus, and we need your additional input. This second community forum will be an integral part of USP's process to select a handful of projects that the Marvel team will focus on developing more specific plans and designs for in the next few months - join us to make an impact on the process.

We have started to synthesize the feedback gathered from the project's first phase in 2018, and are now honing in on five main focal areas in the district. At the community forum, we will share some emerging concepts on how to address the largest challenges and opportunities facing our neighborhood, and hope to gain feedback and insight from the community to guide our decisions.

No sitter? No problem. All ages are welcome, and children are encouraged to attend and participate in kid-friendly brainstorming activities. Whether you live, work, or visit the neighborhood, we hope you can join us.

SCHEDULE

Please note, the forum will take place in Xavier High School's Keenan Commons. USP staff will be at the entrance on 15th Street to help you locate the space if needed.
